Elon Musk already is wrong in claiming that 150 year old people continue to receive social security benefits. He is looking at the agencies numident records, which record basic demographics such as name and DOB. These are kept open if a death certificate hasn’t been received by the agency. THEY ARE NOT PAYMENT RECORDS. So, Musk and DOGE should research a little deeper before continuing to make public announcements in the Oval Office.

But is my personal information (along with everyone else’s) protected?
Or is all now under the control of Musk to use/sell?

Please explain why DODGE has the right to read my PI?

On another note, can you make creating a page on SSA sensible again? It seems to be designed to keep authorized users out more than unauthorized users out.

We need oversight in this huge bureaucracy which can easily lead to fraud. Consider annually it seems medicare has groups of fraudsters duping it out of millions and SSA probably is no different. Maybe we can find enough to make SSA solvent for the next 50 years.

are you the stupidest person on the planet, or just a co-conspirator? have you never seen “don’t open an email you don’t know who the sender is” or an attachment? when they sent the letter to everyone, everywhere, opening it, loaded access for those kids, and they are looking around to see where what they want is, so they can more quickly exploit the data, and tax payers–got anything in there? how about your friends, family? anyone you care about? the systems are separate to keep it from being easiest for dumbdumbs like you to inadvertantly expose someone. such a patsy

hey, why don’t you remind people social security is paid for from the payroll taxes collected from those who worked for it? oh, and that old/dead people thing, consider, a man is 90, he marries an 18, he dies, she becomes a legitimate widow, entitled to benefits on his record, which remains in the system for as long as she it collecting it. only one example

Unfortunately we are dealing with an administration which has proven they do not need to follow the law and that lying to the people to push flawed policies and personal agendas is the new path to governing. Firing agency heads to install new Trump appointees who blindly follow and are powerless to operate and make decisions as managers and leaders is a dictatorship. I no longer believe anyone currently aligned with the Trump administration has our best interest at heart, just more useless promises on paper.

I’m hoping all recipients of Social Security checks that are in excess of age 100 are investigated to see if they are even living and if the checks were cashed. If they aren’t then the ones who misused these funds are jailed and the money’s are gotten back. I hope any official that fights this are fired and jailed as well. DOGE needs access to this information. Any illegal immigrants receiving checks should be immediately removed and deported. This mismanagement needs to be stopped now. Go President Trump and Elon!

I want to believe that Social Security will be safe for future generations but with King Goofball and his court jesters running the show, I will not be surprised with anything that happens. The Congressional “yes” men are wimps and are complicit in every unlawful overreach that’s happening.
